Terrible & Frustrating somewhat describe the experience here. My car overheated. I brought it in to Randy's Auto. He diagnosed it as a "head gasket that needs to be replaced." I was doubtful since the car has only 32,000 miles. Randy claimed he did "tests" that confirmed it was the head gasket for sure. I agreed to the repair, which cost $1417. He phoned about a week later and said it was done and ready for pick-up. I went down to get it and it seemed to run rough but Randy assured me it was fine. I drove about a mile and it overheated again. So, clearly, the head gasket was either not done, or it was done incorrectly from the beginning. I took it back and Randy said he would run some more tests. After a few days, he said it was the radiator that was clogged and ordered a new one. Obviously, he diagnosed it wrong and charged me a lot for a head gasket that was not necessary. This was a nightmare experience, no car, wrong diagnostic, BIG Bill for nothing and car still is not running right. He actually tried to charge me for the radiator as well. I refused and said I would take this to Court, and he backed off with insults. Totally a horrible, frustrating experience. BUYER BEWARE! Go to the dealer instead who has mechanics that are licensed and capable. Randy is a fast talker, watch out!
Rip-off alert! They see you coming a mile away. And it is no longer Randy's, so questions why they haven't updated their business in years? Hiding from something, perhaps honest reviews.
